Its about time for another site update! This time we changed the website theme to make it a little easier to download the gamesaves. The system is completely the same, just a different look. Feel free to head on over to our forums to chat about the PSP and receive support. If any PSP lovers would like to join the PSP-Saves.net staff then post away in the forums! We are looking for dedicated forum moderators and members who can upload PSP news content to the site.

I have received many gamesaves from the users of our community and will start uploading more gamesaves ASAP.

Pandora's Battery - PSP's New Tool To Downgrading and Unbricking

The constant back and forth between PSP hackers and Sony's firmware upgraders may finally be over, with victory going to the hackers. The folks over at N00bz have released Pandora's battery, a downloadable exploit that creates a memory stick and battery combo that can downgrade any PSP back to the extremely hackable version 1.5 firmware. Even better, the hack will fix PSPs that have been "bricked" by previous failed hacks and "will continue to work for all future firmwares," according to the developers.

The exploit is the result of months of behind the scenes work by a team of hackers that figured out how to reset a PSP to Sony's service mode. With hackers no longer needing to concern themselves with how to break new firmware, we can't wait to see what kind of homebrew software the community comes up with for the most powerful portable hardware widely available.

LocoRoco Christmas Demo

A few sources have told me that a new LocoRoco will be available for download by Christmas. The download will be accessible via the official Sony PSP website.
The new level will be themed around winter and Christmas including snow and those damn Christmas songs that you can never get out of your head.
Sony is wishing us all a merry Christmas by giving this to us absolutely free.
The cute little blob of fun will “ho ho ho” its way here just in time for those boring long road trips.

MPH Game Loader FULL Version

MPH has just released the full version of the MPH 2.0 Game Loader for 1.50! No more pesky 10 minute limit! Requirements:

the ISO of the 2.0 game you wish to run (DO NOT ASK FOR ISOs - this will result in an immediate ban)

Wab PSP Version Changer

Yoshihiro, of WAB, has released a PSP Version Changer:

What this program does, is trick games that require firmware version 1.52 or 2.0 to run on your 1.50 or 1.0 PSP.

The implications are huge. You won't have to run the updates that are required by new UMD games, simply load this EBOOT, and it makes the system run the game anyways.

As an extra benefit, if you try to run the 1.52 or 2.0 updater on your 1.5 PSP using this EBOOT, it won't update. Think of it as a sort of 1.5 firmware update protector. No more accidentally flashing your firmware.

Yoshihiro and WAB are proud to bring you The First Firmware Trickz for Gamez that need Firmware 1.52 or 2.0 to run on your PSP and Cant Run UPDATER 1.52 or 2.0. The System think it's a PSP v1.52 or 2.0 even if its a v1.5, or 1.0.

2.0 Firmware Eboot Loader

Fanjita has emailed us the latest version of his Eboot Loader for the PSP, version 0.9, which allows gamers with 2.0 firmware to play homebrew. If you do not want to downgrade your 2.0 PSP every time you wish to play some homebrew, then this is definitely the thing to use. Please note that not all homebrew will work with this loader, but the list of programs, and other compatibility continues to grow with each release. Fanjita tells us about this release,
"This is the 0.9 release of the EBOOT loader. I wasn't able to squeeze in support for 2.01 and 2.5 firmwares yet, but hopefully this release has enough new features to keep you entertained while I work on those. Major new features in this release include:

- Added wifi support! Now the loader auto-detects if the wifi libraries are loaded (via the wifi load method above) and offers them to homebrew for use.
- Added call to application exit callback, to allow RIN etc. to save state when L+R+START reset is used.
- Added memory reset after running the menu. This should make things much less sensitive to whatever has been run before them. Can be turned off in config.
- Added memory reset on exit - this might make it easier to restart the loader.
- Added config option to fake success code from unknown functions
- Added clock-speed option to the config file, to allow automatic overclocking / underclocking of applications.

Please make sure to view the README.TXT file for full details of how to run wifi homebrew, and how to use the new features.
